SpectraComp® Flex Multipeak controls are precision engineered hydrogel based single stain controls designed to support accurate compensation, spectral unmixing and fluorescence standardization in multiparameter flow cytometry workflows. These hydrogels capture antibodies from mouse, rat, hamster and rabbit sources and provide three defined levels of antibody binding — negative, medium and high — enabling multi level reference signals that mimic the fluorescence spectra of stained cells across multiple antigen density levels.
With the consistent fluorescence intensity, cell-like autofluorescence and broad antibody species compatibility characteristic of all SpectraComp controls, SpectraComp Flex Multipeak outperforms traditional bead based tools and reduces errors associated with spectral overlap. Each kit includes a negative bottle containing a 100% negative population and a positive bottle containing a 50% high and 50% medium population. After staining with fluorescently conjugated antibodies, the hydrogels yield a fluorescence output with two positive populations and one negative population, supporting clear fluorophore performance assessment and reliable single stain reference signals for compensation and spectral unmixing.
These controls require no special handling or safety precautions and have been validated on analytical flow cytometers for dependable performance in assay development and high parameter panel design.
