SpectraComp® XT controls are precision engineered single stain cell mimics designed to optimize spectral unmixing and compensation in multiparameter flow cytometry workflows. These controls mimic the staining performance of real cells and provide clear positive and negative fluorescence peaks after staining with fluorescently conjugated antibodies.
As with all SpectraComp controls, SpectraComp XT delivers high fluorescence response and cell-like autofluorescence to provide superior signal to noise resolution and reduce errors associated with spectral overlap. The consistent fluorescence intensity and physiologically relevant scatter characteristics of SpectraComp controls outperform traditional polystyrene based beads and support reliable spectral unmixing or conventional compensation across instruments and platforms. SpectraComp XT expands species compatibility by capturing antibodies from mouse, rat, hamster, rabbit and human sources, supporting broad panel design and diverse fluorophore selections. Compatible with violet, UV and tandem dyes, these controls are supplied as a combined positive and negative population for streamlined workflow integration.
These controls require no special handling or safety precautions and have been validated on analytical flow cytometers for dependable performance in assay development and high parameter panel design.

Product documentation
Absolutely. SpectraComp is designed to be a universal single stain control that works equally well for spectral unmixing on spectral cytometers and conventional compensation on traditional instruments. The same vial and protocol can be used regardless of your compensation approach.
